Two legendary rooms.
One bold idea.
Popflow began with two beloved San Diego yoga studios — Yoga on C in Coronado and B Street Yoga in Golden Hill — and one conviction: strip away everything that isn’t the work, and movement gets better. No mirrors. No hot rooms. No corporate BS.
Our studios are mirrorless and never hot on purpose — so you feel your practice instead of watching it. Tactical discipline. Extreme accountability. Zero bureaucracy.
Six decisions.
Zero accidents.
No mirrors
Mirrors turn practice into performance review. Without them you build somatic awareness — feeling your alignment instead of policing your reflection. Your coach watches your form; you do the work.
No hot rooms
We don’t do hot. Most classes run unheated; select formats use gentle warmth (75–85°) when it serves the work — because artificial swelter manufactures the feeling of effort without the substance.
Mat only
No reformers, no machines between you and the work. Body weight, intervals, and targeted props build strength you own everywhere — not just on equipment.
Layered coaching
Every class is cued in layers — modifications and advancements in the same breath — so day-one beginners and athletes train side by side and both leave pushed.
Music as engine
The playlist isn’t background — it’s the pacing structure of the class. Ease in, build, peak, release. No chanting, no chimes, no autopilot.
Discipline + fun
Tactical discipline and extreme accountability behind the scenes; playfulness and community in the room. Serious about the movement, never about ourselves.
Four formats.
One system.
Nothing on the schedule is there by accident. Each format earns its place — intensity that builds you, recovery that keeps you building — and together they’re a complete training week.
Flow — Yoga
Athletic vinyasa: breath-to-movement pacing, multi-planar transitions, high-tempo music. We kept yoga’s discipline and dropped the dogma — you’ll work, not chant.
Mat Pilates
High-intensity interval principles applied to classic mat work — no reformers, on purpose. Strength you own outright, not strength a machine assists.
Sculpt — Strength
Full-body metabolic conditioning — dumbbells, bands, high-rep isometrics, engineered to push to failure. The strength work most yoga studios won’t touch.
Stretch — Recovery
Myofascial release and nervous-system down-regulation. Recovery gets its own hour on our schedule because that’s what makes the hard days repeatable.
How we got here.
Yoga on C & B Street Yoga
Two independent neighborhood studios with loyal followings — a beach-town fixture on Coronado’s C Avenue and a light-filled room on Golden Hill’s B Street. Great bones, great communities, ready for a bolder chapter.
Popflow is born
One name, one standard, four formats. We rebuilt the programming around athletic Flow, mat-only Pilates, Sculpt, and Stretch — layered coaching in every class, high-tempo music, and a room designed for focus instead of reflection.
Two studios, one community
140+ five-star reviews, a member app, teacher trainings, and a retail boutique — all still walkable, local, and loud about it. And we’re just getting started.
Who runs the room.
Erin Ayres
Erin directs everything that happens on the mat — class sequencing, movement standards, instructor auditions, and performance training. She believes a class should be built like choreography and coached like a sport: creative enough to surprise you, precise enough to change you. If a Popflow class made you feel something, that’s her fingerprint.
Bill Hughes
Bill builds the machine behind the mat — locations, systems, technology, and strategy — so the only thing members ever feel is a studio that simply works. He believes fitness businesses should run on discipline and candor instead of gimmicks: set a standard, own it completely, and let the results do the talking.
Maple the goldendoodle
Official studio dog. Duties include pre-class morale, post-savasana greetings, and quality-testing every mat. Appears at select locations; accepts pets as payment.
What we believe.
Fitness should be bold, motivating, and a little addictive. Discipline mixed with fun. Challenge wrapped in community. Every design choice — from the missing mirrors to the missing heaters — is intentional.
From day-one beginners to elite athletes, every class meets you where you are and pushes you further. The only thing left? Show up and move with us.
